2014 year reflection

It is the end of the year and we are saying good-bye to the staff and the students.  I am going to miss some of my friends and some of the teachers.  I enjoyed going to camp and activity week.  Good--bye SPX <3

Expressive Writing

When I grew up my where to play for the the All Black. When I was growing up my favourite player was Rene Ranger. I am now playing for varsity U13. I played for East Bill McLaren which won the Auckland U13 trophy for the first time. My position in is Lock and Flanker. Every  Monday,Friday and Sunday at Mt Wellington. Right now I am trailing for U15 Auckland team.  I am hoping to get into the NZ U15 next year. I am still wanting to achieve my dreams.But even though I am focusing Rugby and I want focus more on my Learning so I can have a Career after Rugby.From now I am Focusing to try be Successful in both Rugby and in Career.

Milk investigate

CHILLY MILK EXPERIMENT:

PURPOSE:   TO OBSERVE AND RECORD THE CHANGES WHEN DIFFERENT MILK IS PUT IN THE FREEZER.

WHAT YOU NEED: a selection of 3 different type of milk

clear container.

WHAT TO DO: Put  an equal volume of each type of milk in a clear container

Place each container in the freezer

Record what happens to each type of milk as it freezes.  Note its colour,

texture and shape.

Record the time it takes to each variety to freeze.

Soy Milk	Whitish Creamy Runny	30mins
Condensed Milk	Yellowish - Whitish	30mins
Up & Go Milk	Chocolate - Brownish	50mins

The Result - We expected all three to freeze but we were surprised from the condensed milk from freezing.  The up & go and soy milk froze.  We questioned ourselves which one froze more.  But we knew it was up & go because the water % was higher than the soy milk.

Conclusion - We learnt the ingredients in the condensed milk.  Also we learnt why the condensed milk did not freeze.  The reason why the condensed milk did not freeze is because there was more sugar and fat than water.  If the condensed had more water it would have froze.  But the up & go and soy milk froze.

Sugar - 41.0 %

Moisture - 31.0 %

Milk Sugar - 10.5 %

Fat - 8.0 %

Proteins - 8.0 %

Ash - 1.5 %
